Numbers increased today by 1770 to a quality yarding of 7612. A large panel of buyers were in attendance however once again not all processors were operating. Bullocks and heavy steers were in short supply today however holding firm on last week’s market. Bulls sold to a firm market with the continual competition between the live export and meat processor buyers. A large selection of cows was on offer selling to a slightly cheaper market trend easing 4 to 6 cents across the board. Feeder classes continued to remain strong with steers holding firm while heifers easing slightly 5 to 8 cents. Restocker numbers were in a good supply although prices easing across both classes of steers and heifers with the exception of a small selection of quality pens working on a quality pending market.
