Numbers increased this week by 1632 head to a total yarding of 4629 head. Most export buyers and processors were present and operating on a firm to slightly better market.

Bullocks and heavy grown steers were in limited supply and sold firm on last weeks market. Bulls were strong once again selling 5 to 8 cents dearer. Cows were in good supply with a good selection of heavy cows on offer selling 15 to 20 cents better while lighter conditioned score 2 and score 3 cows sold 8 to 10 cents dearer.

Export feeder classes were well represented today selling 8 to 10 cents dearer across the board with the added competition of a returning feeder operator.

Good quality lines of restocker steers and heifers were present and attracting attention today with the recent rainfall in supply areas giving people a sense of hope for the future. Restockers steers sold 8 to 10 cents greater while heifers saw a similar trend selling to a firm market.
